Eternabond tape I have used on the patio seams....that is why I sprayed Flex-Seal as after a couple of years it leaked again. So far it has been 2 years and no leaks.

I looked at reviews on earlier posts, and from what was mentioned, Flex-Seal doesn't seem to do well. A Rustoleum product was mentioned, but not sure which one that is.

I wonder how usable Eternabond is, but since I've only had a limited experience with it, my knowledge on how it does for the long haul will be secondhand.

Spray it yourself. That commercial you see on TV about Flex-Seal that is now in colors and CLEAR. Spray it with the clear and no one will ever know. Works great on my patio roof.

While looking at the Forest River roof, I can't help thinking about going at the top with Eternabond so I have the tape over the screw holes, and one side on the fiberglass, the other side just over the curve of the roof. Then hit the edges of the tape with EternaCaulk mainly for asthetic reasons, as well as another water barrier.

Of course, the ideal would be to take it to a place like Rhino Linings or Dave's Permanent Coatings, and have their epoxy elastomer stuff sprayed over the seams, fiberglass roof, and around the vents, skylights, and other items. This way, there are no seams or gaps for water to intrude into.

Even then, the more preferrable one piece fiberglass roof structure is one that also has it's edges molded so that they curl over the sides 3-4 inches all the way along each side.

It's not good to have a seam all along the edge of the roof - whereby if you don't constantly keep an eye on it over the years - water can get in and leak vertically right down into the interior of the walls. Of course, the roof should have a nice crown to it, too.

Forest River has the fiberglass roof's on their C's versus rubber roofs,as well as Winnebago, Itasca(to name mass produced ones), smaller companies Nexus, Born Free, Pleasure Way (smaller companies).
Not naming them all ~~~

** NOW there are still seals that need to be maintenanced and kept after to avoid leaks **

In general less issues with hard fiberglass roofs.

Itasca / Winnebago is more along the lines of what you are thinking. They are exactly the same save color scheme and badging.

That's basically what I said. A Forester is basically a Sunseeker with a Premier package.

I have a Sunseeker and to tell the truth I would not want to pay the extra price to the few things the Forester has. We have had a lot of fun with ours and very few problems.

From what I read on FROG, the two lines are like Winnebago and Itasca now... same grade all around. I would say that they are decent, but I wouldn't be surprised if you encounter a rough edge or two that might need tuning. For example, first thing I'd do is tack an accumulator tank like the ShurFlo 182-200 model right after the water pump, which will go far in evening out the pressure. Before the pump, I'd tack a particulate strainer like the Shurflo 255-315 model, which can be easily cleaned without removing it.

FR does a lot of improvements over the model years, so be prepared for small upgrades dropped in to make life a lot easier.

Nexus people say theirs is different and better, even in your quote you imply this.

I have the Sunseeker, and like the main fiberglass roof, thought is to be a benefit I wanted. Yes there are still seams, where you need to keep seals maintained. Availability & price-point of Sunseeker, was more in my range. Nexus not widely available to check out, in the Southeast.

After having a non-fiberglass roof on a TT, still think these are a better setup. Rubber roof, had bubbles and settled differently, also friend with a fiver, has had lots of issues with a rubber roof, not staying down, tearing, and leaking.

Not sure if you meant outside pics, but here are some.
