FPPF LUBRICITY PLUS (for diesel fuel)

Has anyone tried this "FPPF LUBRICITY PLUS" ? I've read some good things about it online, but then again, that's online. Just wondering if it's any good, or just more snake oil? They also make other products like injector cleaners, etc.

You might want to reconsider anything that contains benzene or benzene derivatives. Benzene is a potent carcinogen and really not worth the risk of using. Good 'ol number 2 diesel has plenty of lubricity considering most of it sold today is 5-20% bio-diesel.

mowermech,
...and that is all supposed to mean what? If I were a chemist (which I am far from) that all might mean something. But, seeing as I am not, then...? An added explanation might be helpful to a chemical "dummy" like me.

Fiesta,
That would seem to make sense on a new (newer) engine. However, mine is a 2002.

To date, I've been using HOWE'S DIESEL TREATMENT about every three of four tank fulls. I started using it a couple of years ago on the recommendation of a couple of over-the-road trucker acquaintances of mine. Seems to be a popular choice amongst them. Until a day or so ago, I hadn't heard of the FPPF product.

I use no additives, three diesels and never an issue. This stuff sounds like more snake oil in search of a problem.

I also run OptiLube Summer Blend. Within the last year Cummins has changed their position on fuel additives and DOES recommend adding products that improve lubricity. If you were to buy perfectly blended fuel that meets all of the Governments specifications, then there would be no need for additives. Cummins and independent studies have determined that we often get fuel that doesn't meet the Government standards for lubricity.

For lubricity I use OptiLube summer blend. Will admit the product you linked looks interesting.

As with all such products, look up the MSDS, look at the ingredients and health warnings, and then think about whether you want that in your fuel tank.
I have, and I don't.
Even when I had a diesel, I did not use any such additives.
