We did a three year stretch of 60-80% of our time spent in a 33' Winny with one large slide. We still snowbird in it, four months a year, and have no issues with the amount of space. We both are far from pack rats, and at no time are the basement areas, or any cabinets, 100% full. The only caution I found, when shopping for a small to medium size Class A, was that a lot of the 30' and shorter rigs had ZERO countertop space. It was ridiculous! Kitchens with a double sink jambed tight to the stove and nothing else. To us that's a pretty obvious deal breaker, but there are lots of folks that get by with that arrangement. That said, a well laid out 30' A, or even a smaller, can make a great full time rig, and there are tens of thousands of folks on the road with far less.

don't forget to consider the cargo carrying capacity when selecting a coach. Just because it will fit doesn't mean it doesn't exceed the load rating for the coach. "Stuff" weighs so much more than we think when you get too much "stuff".

my first class A was 23ft, lived and traveled full time for 12 yrs, before moving up in size to 31ft
our current Class A is 36ft, but there are special reasons for needing this floor plan making it a recent purchase

i think you will do fine with the 30ft, its a good choice
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

So does size. You need to go play house in it for a while with no salesmen bothering you. Your biggest problem with smaller is lack of closet, storage, and laundry facilities. All things you likely will find missing or insufficient in a smaller rig. When we went looking for our fiver we played house for a half hour. Tried everything and found what we absolutely hated and loved. The fiver we ended up with has not disappointed in 13 years.

This is a very good idea if you want to get it (as close to) right the first time! Getting used to living with whats really essential is different for everyone and may change frequently.

I think I would tow a pickup truck with cap for additional storage, etc. If you don't want to go 36 ft, go 32/34.
I feel that a 30 ft class A is sort of a bast@rd length, too long to be small, too short to be big. of course perhaps that makes it a perfect length.

My wife and I do just fine in our 34' Class A. Our previous coach was 33' with no slides. This one has a single 14' "super slide", and seems much roomer.

If you're talking about the triple slide, then not even a problem. I might consider swapping out the Jackknife couch for two recliners or a sofa with two recliners in it.

Yes, nimble has it's advantages.

I have seen lots of fulltimers in smaller rigs. Small has it's advantages sometime. Finding sites, parking, fueling, etc...
