Generator dash on/off switch light gone out

The on/off remote rocker switch on the dash, the little light that glows when the genset is genning, is that a bulb that can be replaced or the whole switch would need replacing.

Anyone that has replaced one, could you list the details of this.

Mark this up, for another thing the ruff highways across this country has damaged.
Thanks in advance, Neil

Mine just pried out of the dash, no rivets and wire was actually long enough to unhook-rehook.

Well, got the switch part way out to check it out.
The switch is a Carling Switch tech rocker switch V8DA #9909, 20A 12V. Found one on e bay, like 30 bucks & shipping.
I was able to pry the switch apart & it is simple made inside. The little bulb is like a grain of rice bulb with two wires attached to it & bent around so that two springs can contact the wires to operate it.
Might be I can find a bulb at Radio Shack, looks like something they would have in stock.
Thanks all, Neil

those switches come right out and are avail from Monaco or their supplier which escapes me at the moment...the wires are in a plug to the switch (some of them have clips, just squeeze to unlock) and pull off wire plug...then the switch itself has clips to hold it behind dash...squeeze clips, pull out from dash, replace switch and the gen set label snaps off old switch to new switch...I did it for my entry step light, and exhaust brake light..you just have to get right switch which Monaco support can give you OR pull out switch and google.

Typically no.
Really skilled people with little else to do have cut them open (drilling out rivets) found the bulb online, bought it, paid to ship it, spent some time soldering it in and re-riveting the switch...

And saved maybe twelve cents over the cost of buying and shipping a new switch.

Ok, lol, so a whole 12 cents saved.
Well, sounds like you have done it or know somebody that did, so I guess my next question is how to remove it from the dash.

On our M/H, H/R Vacationer, theres 3 switchs in a row just alike with the genset one being at the top, but I've not looked at it real close to see how its mounted to the dash or how to remove it.
I do have the TV out & can see the back side of the dash, so I guess its time to do some investigating.

Those switches ?, E bay maybe??.
Thanks, Neil
