Generator running, but no power

I was just sitting in my motorhome with both AC's running, they had been running for about 10 minutes or so. I also had the TV on and the sat reciever going........all of a sudden I lost all 110 power. Still had 12 volt power. I was running on the generator. My motorhome is 50amps. The generator continued to run, but again, no power....granted it's about 105 degrees outside. I checked the 110 circuit breakers and didn't see anything.also checked the 30amp and 50amp switches on the generator. The energy managment screen went blank too, no power to it. Was to hot to check anything else........any ideas? I don't have shore power available to check to see if that works. Thanks for the help.

Most likely tripped because of the heat...outside and inside...glad it was a simple fix...Dennis

I never just "check" breakers. I flip every one if I have a problem. Those little boogers can look like they are on but tripped.

Thanks for all the help/info. I went over to the motor home today and fired up the gen......same thing, no 120V. Thought I'd recycle the gen switches and try it again..still nothing. Then I went to tracking down the transfer switch. Someone suggested checking under a drawer in the bedroom, and yep, there it was. Externally everything looked ok..so took the lid off and nothing appeared wrong. Checked the connections and everything seemed to be tight. Did all this while the temp inside the motor home was 112 degrees and outside was 109 degrees. So I took a little breather and went out and looked at the gen breaker switches..........ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I hate to say this, but the whole time I thought they were in the on position, they were actually in the off..DAAAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhh. LOL. Helps to look at the little lettering that says off/on. Moved them to the ON position, fired the gen up and guess what? Everything worked....ran both AC's for a few minutes, and the TV and Sat Receiver. With those items running, showed I was drawing 33amps. Not sure why it tripped the breakers yesterday....but everything seems to be ok today. Thanks again.

My transfer switch was under the bed in a closed compartment.

On my Onan if one breaker trips it is obvious one tripped but as delivered not clear which (I added a label that makes it clear).

Most breakers are kind of like this |\ off |/ on |- tripped

Onan does not have the "Tripped" position, it trips to full off.

You say checked, does that mean you reset them.

Call to Fleetwood would probably get you that answer. Until then, open you compartments and look up. Lot's of times they will mount them on the ceilings....Dennis

If you have an auto transfer switch you should be able to find it by following shore power back into coach. It is usually wired direct or to a plug in the compartment.

Call to Fleetwood would probably get you that answer. Until then, open you compartments and look up. Lot's of times they will mount them on the ceilings....Dennis

There are two circuit breakers on the inverter...if you have one.

Check the breaker right on the generator panel itself. If you did that then the problem is in the transfer switch. Loose connection or fried. There was an issue with some brand of transfer switch burning.
