Hello everyone
For the last 12 years we have been pulling a 5th wheel camper. Now on our 3rd one.
We are now thinking of going to a class A.
Has anyone out there done this,, and if so are you glad you did, or do you regret it.
It will be a big decision and need all the help we can get.
Thank you so much

OP, with only this one post in the last year it's impossible to give you good answers. How many people? How many days/year will you use it. Are you handy? Do you have a car that can be towed four down? Are you looking to travel more and further.
We went with a DP ten years ago and no way would I go back to a 5er.
This post is my opinion (free advice). It is not intended to influence anyone's judgment nor do I advocate anyone do what I propose.

Over the past 30+ years we've been through a Class C, 2 travel Trailers,2 Class A's, 1-5th wheel, and 1 Truck Camper.

Hands down the 2 class A's (one of which we currently own) were the best for traveling and comfort while moving around and traveling to make miles. Once parked and left for a while (over 2 weeks) the 5th wheel was the most comfortable. This past fall we traded the 5ver for a new class A.

I never enjoyed driving the fifth wheel and having that large mass behind me attached to the truck. I was always a bit tense with it on the road and it was always slow traveling- especially in cities. But I did so love it when we got somewhere and set up for a good while leaving parked.

But now we are on the move quite a bit with our grown children, grandchildren and aging parents scattered about the country. So we're lovin the Class A and make pretty good time with good comfort.

We went from a fifth wheel to a class A. We really enjoyed the fiver, but, so far, we are getting more enjoyment with the coach. My CEO/Navigator likes to get up and move about while we are moving whether to use the bathroom, lie down in back, fix a snack, or just stretch. It is so much easier to level the coach and we really like having the built in generator. The only thing we regret is going with a gasser instead of a diesel pusher.

We did it twice but our experience was mostly because of our preferred use.Best way to travel is a class A,best way to camp, fish boat etc. for us was 5th.wheel.Best way to retire was extended stay trailer.Did not like the idea of a tow behind but tried it two different times to make sure and did not like it but knew I needed a tow car,for the freedom to move around a lot.We explored a lot, didn't like pot luck supper style parks very much.

We just did it. Bought a class A last week. We have small children and figured that a class A with bunks would make long trips easier/more fun.
