I tried navigating to my usual way via what used to be the woodalls link, now Good Sam link - but now it's gone too.

Had to go through the old RV.NET.

It seems things are back as normal - not working.

I've been trying to do a few posts over the evening, lets see if this one makes it through.

**EDIT** So this one went through, yet no other post will??? Sure is frustrating.

Same here, Rv.net had been performing badly. Lets see nope instant time out with a percent sign.

Why did Marcus delete goodsam from dns but leave Woodalls in the DNS and pointing to non existent goodsam now?

There are 24 hours in every day - it all depends on how you choose to use them.

Yeah, I lost my woodalls link also. Woodalls is no more as a separate entity, gone the way of other camping guides. Who of you recalls Wheelers?
When Mr. Lemonis bought Affinity group, they were competing against themselves with TL & Woodalls camping guides. So he spun Woodalls off to AAA to replace their regional camping guides, with info copied from what was 60 account rep. teams, 30 for each, to 40 for GS that had smaller territories, but could serve them better. No more duplication, or rating 'opinion' that was prevalent in Woodalls inspection criteria.
Like all of you I will miss the woodalls green, but know from with meeting with Marcus' GS / rv.net team that it was a survival of the fittest. The leadership team is highly focued on value for you, the consumer, us the provider, and them for a fair profit.
Woodalls was an expense that called for fading away.

answer me 1 question then why did he do away with the east &west verison of the guides, so much easier to read depend which side of Miss river u are on. esp if CP trying to read on the move
The woodalls guides were sold/ copied into the AAA 7 regional campbooks. If you look at the campbooks from any year, you will see they were, are info taken from Woodalls, then TL . AAA did not inspect or rate camps, they just came to collect our money for the listing.
We 12 campowners in the '09 Good sam park advisory council argued against the one Big Book, were countered with the free to AAA member regionals, the trans Mississippi nature of rvers. The cost of producing a book for each 1/2 of the nation could not be recovered by a marginally lower price for each.
Personally, we use word of mouth, google earth, rvparkreviews.com after the books to find our best parks.

Is it possible that Marcus is getting tired of funding a forum where he is getting cut so bad in nearly every post?? So. if you don't like CW, find another forum??

I don't know what posts you're reading, but I only see relatively few out of the thousands of posts made here that are derogatory towards the CW division of GSE. And based on their content, at least some are deservedly so. Now that Marcus has multiple TV shows and businesses to keep him busy, I have to wonder how much time he actually spends taking care of GSE business, versus how much is left to mere mortals lower in the corporate hierarchy.

I agree. Very few complaints in the forum. The Dear Marcus forum is a different story. It's nothing but complaints. He needs to eliminate that forum and the rest would be acceptable.

Good Sams link doesn't work for me either. Woodalls is gone. RV.NET still works for now.
