Hi all, need some help. Two things any suggestions on figuring out if we have a mouse or a ground squirrel in the bowels of our motorhome. The only symptom is eaten toilet paper in the bathroom cabinet which leads under the floor of motorhome. I purchased the standard spring trap, any ideas beyond that. Best bait etc? Thank you!

No pooh yet? When you eventually find it (which you will) if it's brown/black and smaller than a grain of long grain white rice its most likely a mouse. Larger and its most likely a rat. You all ready know they like toilet paper so I suggest a little peanut butter (as previously suggested) and cheddar cheese wrapped in toilet paper like a little egg roll loaded in one of those spring loaded wire snap traps. Leave it out at night where you find the pooh. Either that or a Jack Russell Terrier.

Spring trap with peanut butter will catch mice and rats.

Sticky traps with a dab of peanut butter work as well.

I would bet it's not a ground squirrel probably a rat or mice. Ground squirrels live under ground and would not live in your motor-home. If it's mice not so bad but rats are hard to catch,...
