Help Identify this Class A (Criminal Case)

I am doing a favor for local law enforcement which just put a local heroin/meth dealer and thief in jail awaiting trial. He was living in this class A RV. All identification has been removed from it. No manufacturer ID, no plates, VINs removed, etc. I offered to try and crowd source an identification to make their investigation easier. The reward for correctly IDing the RV is the satisfaction of possible ADDING to what he has been charged with. Thanks and here we go:

The round symbol in the grill looks like an "HR" would have been there. HR - Holiday Rambler. You would have to Google images to determine year and model.

Since you have been accused of being nosy and telling lies, I recommend that you ask the mod to close this thread. You are obviously not going to get any help.

Why do the police need to know the make and model of this RV? Is it only stolen if it's a Winnebago?

:B

Is that picture from the police department for distribution? Or did you sneak over into the neighbor's yard and take the picture!?!

If you had a heroin/meth dealer living in your neighborhood, wouldn't you? I am part of a neighborhood watch and very involved.

Tell me where in the U.S. today where their isn't a heroin/meth dealer or lab in the neighborhood. Urban, suburban, or rural area, you can not get away from it. Too big of demand for that poison. :R

If all the VIN information is missing on that RV it is probably the first Motorhome in recorded history that has had that information completely removed since it would involve grinding off the VIN stamped into the frame, into the engine block, and also in a half dozen other assorted areas. And someone would do that because?

You can't get it licensed without the VIN. You can't drive it on the road without a license. As far as I know there isn't a big chop shop marketplace for stolen RVs. What's the point? What is going to happen if someone posts: " I know exactly what that rig is, it is a 2004 Damon Intruder? That isn't actionable information for the police.

Are you saying the police or anyone else can't take any action because they don't have the VIN? Really? It either belongs to the landowner where it is parked, or that landowner can have it towed away. If it belongs to the landowner, you have your answer. If it doesn't belong to the landowner, yet he doesn't want it towed away, you still have your answer. If the police want to seize it,

the fact that the VIN has been obliterated or altered is reason enough, since that in and of itself is a crime

in almost any state.

X10 Thank you.

AGAIN a reason the cops had for removing the MH for further investigation and they DID NOT. So me thinks none of it is true.

You say your were burglarized and IMHO you think your stuff is in your neighbors MH....henceforth this wonderful long winded story why 'you' need to know. Cause apparently the cops don't care!!

The police should be able to get info on a hidden VIN from the chassis manufacturer.
Don't they have an auto theft unit?

It was removed too.

There should be more than one. Have they contacted the chassis manufacturer?

He is currently in the KC jail on 20 grand bail awaiting trial. I wouldn't mind further charges and that number going up. I have zero interest in a crappy old class A beyond keeping the last occupant in prison for as long as possible. He's been in and out a bunch of times and he returns to his mom's place (the property in question) and starts over. This is the big chance to keep him in a while and the cops are looking for all the help they can get from the citizenry to make that happen. Get involved. Neighborhood security is a team sport. As far as me fearing retribution from the property owner, she has bigger problems with the county as they will be serving her abatement paperwork due to her kid's activities there.

I don't know Washington State laws, but the state laws I am familiar with would have allowed the police to impound the vehicle since they arrested a suspect who was in control of the vehicle. Apparently, Washington laws considered the motorhome a residence, not a vehicle. If that is the case, then gun possession laws motor homes now have an interesting twist.

You sure do really have a vested interest in this don't you?

According to your post they arrested him so he no longer lives in your neighborhood. :W

Like I said before the police would have obtained a search and/or seizure warrant to bring that MH in for further investigation if there was suspect. The 'police' did not.

So just what is what seems like just 'your' interest in the MH.?

Why don't you just go over to the neighbor who has the MH on their property and ask if it is theirs or not and how it got there!!! :B

Right now they are trying to narrow down where it came from. You can call the above contact info at the KCSO if you like. They can put you in contact with the detective.
