I need to remove the instrument cluster for repair but first I need to know how to access it. Is the dash hinged? Is it fastened with screws? Velcro? Is it doable? Thanks in advance!

OK, got the instrument panel out but now I have a problem. The screws that hold it in were 8-32 which are too small to thread into the panel, 10-32 are too large. M4 is too small and M5x80 will only go in about a turn. What is this? Thanks!

My 2002 Southwind (also by Fleetwood) has velcro (yes, I said VELCRO!)across the top of the dash above the instrument cluster where it joins the flat top of the dash, and two screws at the bottom slides. Work your finger under the velcro to pull it apart and the front of the dash will rotate down on the two screws far enough to get the cluster out.

By the way, I replaced the velcro with new industrial strength velcro and it quietened down the squeaks and groans that come from all Fleetwood dashes.

Tried that; no luck. From what I have read instrument panel failure is not uncommon, I am surprised that no one here has removed one. That's good!
