How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

I'm new here, and curious.

How many of us in Class C own Dodge B300 incomplete
cab/chassis based RV's? I know two others- Steve aka
Ripsaw, with a 1977 Brougham, and Leroy aka 1978_Dodge
_Delta who owns a 440V8 powered sharp looking 1978
Delta RV. I would like to ask, and offer, help, idea
swapping and comparing notes on our particular RV's
which are based on the Dodge B300 van chassis.

Yeah, I know. These are low tech, podgy old RV's that
would be considered "entry level" for folks like me,
but I have a deep and abiding respect for the quality
of these old "monsters of the open road". And anyone
wanting to pick brains, joke about, share notes or just
brag about our old A- Dodge-io's are certainly welcome
to PM or email me. Between all of us we can form a real
good support group, and help each other with problems
we know we'll encounter with an older vehicle.

Sure. I'd love a new RV. But I'd rather have an older
one already paid for, and a lotta great memories. Call
me frugal, an old hippie, or whatever you will. I'm proud
of my old land yacht.

Mopar Madness Manifest in the flesh,

Mark aka White Knight

P.S. Mine's a '72. Is there an older one out there someone's
motorvating in? Maybe even a Travco? W/K

OK last one for now, New seats out of the Caravan... not very good pictures, I will need to get better ones when the sun is out of the way.
I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere!

New bath, replaced toilet with a high rise, new vinyl floor and redone shower stall I had already replaced the countertop and painted it... also new vinyl around the overhead bunk where the old orange and brown shag carpet was, also new cushions covers for the overhead bunk built by DW

Pictures of recent work. Finished the bath with new floors, counter, paint and high rise toilet. Replace old overhead trim carpet with nice vinyl touch, new laminate floor in the coach area and new seats out of my caravan that some nice fellow hit and totaled. Some pics not great due to bad lighting this morning but you kind of get the idea.
Ok pics didn't load right, will have to work on it.

Still working away on the old rig. Did the roof this weekend. Here it is ready for final wiring, stringers and the outer ply layer. I managed to reuse the original aluminium skin. I also pannelled out the interior and fitted the overcab deck.

There are a few more rebuild pictures here:

Thanks for eveyones reponses concerning the built in furnance and the Mr. Heater. I will just play by ear of which one I will use in the future.

I have one of the double element Mr Heater units. It heats my 18' Chinook Concourse pretty well. It will burn through 2 of the small appliance type bottles in a couple of hours tho. The built in is more economical for sure. I refill the tiny bottles from a larger at home
so I'm not buying them all the time.

The furnace definitely uses more propane than the water heater. We set ours at 60ยฐ (I think) to keep it from freezing inside without using all the propane available.

I don't know how hungry those Mr Heaters are.

My furnace definitely uses more propane than anything else on the camper. I've accidentally left the water heater on all day, or all night, and it's nothing like having the furnace on for the night.

That may change as I improve the insulation during my renovations.

Hi Gored, mine has a suburban Nt24 from new and seems to be reasonable on consumption. Don't know what it's like in the US but running anything on disposable canisters in the UK works out pretty expensive.
