How much to paint a 40 foot Class A?

I have seen a few Class A diesel pushers for sale that have peeling paint and peeling decals on the sides. Anybody have a rough idea how much it would cost to have these painted? I'd like to know how much it would cost before I make an offer.

I am sure the OP might appreciate the quote, this post is 7 years old and the OP hasn't been on here in about 5 years.

I have had our coach serviced several times at Country Coach in Junction City OR. I have bought parts a bunch of times from them in the last couple of years. Last time I checked most of the people that worked for Ron Lee and Country Coach are still there at the same factory in Junction City. I went to the Winnebago Grand National Rally this past summer. Most of the large coaches made by Winnebago are being made in the old Country Coach factory.

We have owned our Country Coach for almost 9 years and have never had any issues getting it serviced either where we live, at the factory, in various other parts of the US. I suppose an argument could be made that CC ceased to exist back around 2000 when they sold out to National. So what is the point of all this discussion?

I still have a Country Coach. I like it. Better built than 95% of the new motorhomes built today.

Back to paint. We did have some pealing of the clear coat on the top radius of our coach where the outside walls became the roof. We had Country Coach fix it about 3 years ago. I also have some checking in the dark color on a couple of the panels. Unless the sun is hitting it wrong you don't notice it. A friend of mine just had is 34' coach painted in So California about 3 months ago. Very good job. He paid just under 20,000. There are many levels of paint/clear coat quality. To get a high end paint job with several layers of clear coat over it IMHO a 40' coach will run you $30-35,000. Simpler job like my buddy would be in the $25,000 range.

Actually, right before Ron Lee sold the Junction City facility and the intellectual property to Winnebago there was a new Country Coach built. They produced a 2016 Allure 480 for Ron Lee and his wife. I believe it was Ron's way to letting everyone know that CC's could still be produced if there were resources to do so.

Whether WGO will ever build Country Coaches is another issue.

kind of hard to say they produced for Ron and wife? hes the owner so more like he had a 2016 proto type produced and he kept it for himself

nice looking rig;; a bit old fashioned

Called Winnebago for some tech info and a few parts for my CC, was sent to a message service. No call back after three attempts. Called Oregon Motorcoach and spoke to a real CC tech and had my parts the next day. Winnebago has no intention of continuing CC in any way.

A memory of what? Country Coach is still in business. They just happen to be owned by Winnebago.

Bad news for you Bill.Country Coach is no more, no matter what Winnie says or does. There are zero CC's being built and will never be.

If you look at your link, all that is talked about is service stuff. Sure there are a few left over CC techs working there doing regular service things but there is no actual Country Coach "factory"

exactly CC has been out of business(BK) for years. this is a service center started a couple few years ago ;;I do believe they were trying to restart making CC MH but it never happened(yet)

I had the checking issue and had the sidewalls replaced and the entire coach repainted at Newmar for $15,500. This is only valid for Newmar coaches.

Great price, unfortunately Country Coach is only a memory.

I had my coach Painted at McKinney in Red Bay Al, did a superior job. The cost was not close to the quotes here. Daniel McKinney is the owner and stands behind his work. I even had the slide out painted with the stripes. I would recommend him to anyone.

How long ago? I believe they were one of the companies I contacted and they said they no long do full coach repainting.

ALL DP I have owned and currently own are factory painted and don't have decals? and I have never personally seen paint peel on fibreglass surfaces? what particular year and model diesel pusher have you seen this exact situation on ??

He's likely referring to fading and cracking paint, versus peeling.

could be? I can only comment on what the OP specifically has asked and what I have personally seen over 15 years and 4 diesel pusher MH
hairline fibreglass surface cracks and peeling paint are two entirely different animals in my world. also I have never seen decals on full body paint
