Has anyone out here repaired a torn RV cover? I have a one year old Elements RV cover and found a tear L shaped 24" by 24" and because it is almost new would hope I can patch it and get a few more years out of it Thanks

or marine sail repair tape. I'd put in on both sides of the rip.

Any sewing machine will work. You just need enough room to lay the cover out.

Modesto is a little more than an hour away. I am sure there are some canvas shops there.

Or...buy an industrial sewing machine and learn how to sew!

I ordered ADCO sticky patches. I cut to size and then sewed them around the edges and across the tear using heavy duty nylon thread and an upholstery needle. I am on the third year in the Midwest after repairs. Not pretty, even Frankenstienish, but it works. I also pad the sharp areas using water noodles cut to size.

If you have a dry-cleaners near by that does alterations, ask them if they could repair it. We had one re-sew our spare tire cover that was made of heavy vinyl and cloth. If not, you have learned something about covers, they don't last.

Another vote for awning repair tape.
That stuff is amazing. It's very strong, water proof and clear so it doesn't show much.

Online or at an RV or boat supply store look for the awning repair tape. It's designed to repair sail or awning material and holds up for a year or two
