Leaky shower enclosure

Hi all, the shower leaks like a sieve only where pan meets the walls @ 3" off bottom- cracks and brittle only there. Has been caulked in past, no doubt original from 2000, 30' fourwinds, majestic- identical shower enclosure example can be seen here... 3/4 ways through the video:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AU3Z_TVPgHM

Floor is spongy (not sure what the foundation is under it) but in intact. Trying to avoid a complete replacement- Is it possible to replace the floor without tearing everything apart? Alternatively, is there a miracle wide rubbery waterproof tape for a quick fix?

Thanks, R

Your shower pan probably has a white foam to give it slope, this foam of course has colapsed and the pan flexed enough to crack and that is probably where the leak is, I had that happen and the only correct fix is either replace the pan with a new one or dissasemble the wall enclosure and the shower pan then remove the white foam and fiber glass the tub and then use some wedges and plywood to redo the floor where the tub rests, also check the drain fittings, on mine they tried to tighten the plastic nut and cracked it, I replaced it with a rubber union and metal adjusting straps, any other fix might not work as long as the tub floor flexes along a wall.

I would tear it out and do it right. I think you'll end up there anyway. Here's a place sells new rv shower pans. There are others if you search. I'm worried I'll end up doing it eventually too.

A lot of suggestions on how to fix the leaking shower, but none of the will fix the wet/rotted weakened floor Under the shower.
I'd go with Farmboy's suggestion, remove the shower, and start over, first by repairing/replacing that section of floor.

Thx everyone, if I remember, 5200 drys hard, like steel hard. Going to try the 4" roof tape- have to decide between white or black, couldn't find almond. Have a great Halloween!

Yes, Eternabond will hold.

Maybe look into 5200 too.

If the floor is spongy it's also probably wet. I would remove the whole thing and start fresh. It's not that hard a job to take out and it sounds like you have some serious problems you need looked at.

I seriously doubt that, I would imagine that you would at least have to remove the shower pan to get at the floor.
