2007 gulfstream yellowstone model 2 slides w/bunks on r/s no airbags
Anyone having a super c leaning to r/s issue? Thing measures 2 in difference side to side.Trying to find out if this is a common problem. Ive read and know what needs to be done to troubleshoot but thought maybe someone could give insight if common problem. No visable problem. Thanks

For the weight I was dragging around at altitude (my house was at 6500') usually between 6-7 mpg. I think it does alright, I'm sure a duramax would be stronger. The Allison is great. I'm not a Chevy guy either.
I must've got a good one. The quality has been fine. These things are banging and bumping down the road and things will need repairs.

Good info . Im sure other will get help from this topic. I did speak to GM 5500 Engineer Friday. Very knoledgable, he said those have 19000lb springs and they (GM) didnt know of any issue with springs or chassis, but he suspected there was an imbalanced load. He said those upfitters do all kinds of crazy stuff on those chassises. He did say airbags, New spring ($900), additional spring or recurve spring would be acceptable fix. He suggested I contact Gulfstream and see what they said, which I did and still waiting on response. I`ll let you know.

Mile-High, how do you rate the power and fuel consumption? Looks like I`ll be pulling similar load. Thanks

Dragracer, yes that is all they did to correct my problem.

My 6340 leans to the right some. I've thought about adding a lifting block to that side to correct it. I've also rearranged the stuff in my storage boxes. Heavy stuff forward and on the drivers side if possible. Our tire wear and drivability is good. Added Super Springs to pull my 24' enclosed trailer. We fulltime in ours so I can't take it to a shop to leave it for days. Usually water tank has maybe 20 gallons. Black and gray are empty when traveling.
Had it in a shop over night to add floor support over rear axle and to check the lean. They discovered Teflon spacers that go between the leaf springs were missing on the right side. Seems better.
Too much stuff on the right side - slide, generator, frig, water heater, bedroom closet, and the only good storage boxes.

So all they did is added 1 leaf on R/R then realigned,no airbags? Im guessing that slide back there causes an imbalanced rear weight on those. I would think everyone would be having that problem.

I Have the 07 GS Endura 6340. I bought mine new and when I got it, it to was listing to the rear r/s. I never thought to take it back when it was under warranty. As time went on it worsened. Mine was off by 3". I never drive with my tanks full other then fuel. Last year on the same side I had both rear tires blow out on me which was caused by this problem. I finally to it in to an alignment shop who fixed my problem by adding another leaf spring which corrected the problem. They did a true realignment on it. I had taken it in a couple years back to another shop for alignment (front tires were wearing bad). Shop said they did what they could and that Kodiak was a Chevy problem which Chevy had to fix. They also said it was a notorious problem. Well they were wrong (wasted a few hundred $$$). The second shop which added the leaf spring said the wear on front tires and said it wouldn't align correct due to the rearing leaning to one side. Well, it's all good now, all aligned correctly and level rear and front. It sure made a difference on the road, very little swaying as from the day I bought it new. Handles the way it should be. We paid a little over $900.00 to resolve but well worth the money, good luck. Oh it's not as bouncy as the day we got it, smoother ride. Happy Glampers..

Not sure what the problem maybe. But putting air bags should help with problem. My MH does not need them for side to side. But it sure helped handling and height in rear of MH.
