We are leaving for Upper Michigan tomorrow from here in central Oregon. This will be our first trip with our "new" home, a '02 HR 34' DP.

A big "THANKS,EH?" to everyone here at RV.net for all the wonderful help you have given me regarding both of our motorhomes.

And, just maybe, we may cross paths this summer, somewhere!

Brad,Pat, Kiddo and Dinah-Mite.

Take Route 2 along lake Michigan. It's a pretty drive as you get close to the Mackinaw Bridge

Be sure to go to the locks in Soult Ste. Marie, MI. They are very interesting and move huge freighters. Then find a spot in Aunne Osborn campground a couple miles East of the locks. You will see the freighters go right past the campground. It is a nice, clean city campground. Have fun!!!

Just last week there was a story on the news telling about two women who were lost for several days after there suv got stuck in the SNOW in the UP. On the other hand here in northern MN. were looking at sunshine and temps in the seventy's through the weekend.

Have a wonderful & safe trip. Most of our trips are 2000 miles +. Told the DW we need to use the coach more often on some weekend trips closer. :B

congrats, and "THANKS EH"?

If you're coming up the west side of Wisconsin...
I'd personally stay west as long as possible, go up thru Madison and take 151 to green bay.

If you must keep going east, there are lots of cool state parks and lighthouses on Wisconsins Lake Michigan shoreline.
Dunno if it is worth the run up I294 past O'Hare airport tho. There is no longer a "Non-rush hour" near Chicago, and construction season has all ready started.
