I have the same problem. I also just hit the "Store" button when I start out and the problem has gone away.

I have a 2003 Itasca Sunova, sister to the Sightseer. I have been experiencing the problem intermitantly for a while now. I have checked and re-checked the fluid level in the hydraulic reservoir and still have the issue about once a trip. When it happens I just pull over when it's safe, apply the autopark brake and do the "Allup" thing. Nothing happens other than the "Jacks Down" light goes out and stays out for the rest of the day's travel.

If my memory is correct, the manual also says to leave the store feature ON while driving. And increasing outside air temp. will cause the jacks to build up some pressure.

Had the same intermittent problem when I had my Winnebago. I was told that when retracting the jacks to hit store or retract (whatever the button is called) and just leave it on until the light times out and not to turn it off. I did that and never had the problem again.

With my 97 Bounder and Bigfoot levelers, I have a reservoir switch and it says 'down' when I had a small leak on one of the levelers. I just add a little transmission fluid, and all is well for another few months. The fluid is also smaller when cold, and that can trip it too.

I had this happen to me twice in my Winnebago (a long time ago) I was driving highway speeds and the jacks down light came on. I pulled over and checked and all my levelers were in the up position. The only common thing both times is the outside heat was between 105* to 110* both times and it never happened again.

Weak/Old springs will not cause a jack to extend enough to cause the down light to come on. Doug

our Quadra (big foot) system has a LIMIT switch on each jack - the jack (pad) needs to contact the (externally mounted) switch when the jacks are retracted or it will alarm (when the engine is running) and it will NOT illuminate the "all up" light.

I just hit the store button and leave it on while driving. That eliminates any chance of a jack dropping at all from bouncing.

Winne usually had HWH your year. IF you have the NON automatic touch pad(300 series), then what you experienced is normal. The operating instructions for the 300 series requires you to ALWAYS push the store button every time you start the engine to travel. If you have this model HWH, respond and I will explain why. Doug

If Power gear jacks probably just low fluid. The fluid floats a switch that turns off the alarm. When you retract the jacks the fluid returns to the reservoir and floats the switch if there is enough fluid. Find the reservoir and check the fluid level. usually just needs a couple squirts of Dexron III will do the job
