I'd like to make contact with others who own one of the new (2004, 2005) Pace Arrows so we can share experiences, problems, good things, etc.

I think the guy from Oregon is in quartzite. See if he will stop buy your place on the way back to Oregon. He made me that offer a couple of years ago. Sorry I forget his name.

@roln...yes, there are. But they're in Oregon, or Florida, or someplace a long long ways from me. With fuel costs what they are, makes more sense for me to do mine in the driveway.

Lobstah,

It's not just Fleetwood and Pace Arrow. At the recent FMCA rally in Indio I attended a seminar about the issue of fogged windows. Many of those attending owned high-end diesel rigs from highly respected manufacturers. The take-away lesson for me was that dual pane windows are not a good choice for use on a motorhomeโ€”too much flexing that will cause the seals to fail prematurely.

There are companies that will fix fogged glass for a couple 100 bucks. Do a google search.

Just went through a small nightmare. The battery connect/disconnect switches (2) stopped working. Talked at length with Fleetwood cust. service. Started by ordering new switches as it was only $22. Installed them - no luck. Fleetwood said probably the solenoids. There are 3 in the battery control box in the compartment in front of the door (on mine over the LP tank), $60 each. Decided to bring in to a shop, however the steps would not fold up due to lack of power. I cannot get my coach out of its parking place without folding up the steps. With both battery connects in the off position the engine still can be started due to an override. Kwikee told me to go under steps and remove cotter pin, then remove steel pin connecting motor to steps. I did, not easy as there is a lot of tension on the pin, and tied the steps up with bungee.
Spent time at the shop going through how the system works (not an RV dealer), where the solenoids where, etc. One hour later they call me - all fixed! A 5 amp fuse in the battery control box labeled BD (battery disconnect) had blown. I never checked them.
I asked them to re-install the pin on the steps and they did but had a tough time. Their is too much tension on the two holes which need to line up. They got it in using a crowbar to move the steps while inserting the pin.
A ton of headaches and $140 for a 25 cent fuse.
There is a bank of slide out fuses in the battery control box. If you have battery issues, check all of them.
Hope you guys can avoid what I went through.

Gary,
I had to troubleshoot my battery controller box after going through a fiasco with my converter and batteries. When I replaced the converter, only my house batteries were being charged. The starting battery continued to discharge. Every weekend I'd start the coach by using the battery bridge button and let it run for a bit. Finally got time to dig into it, and BINGO...5amp fuse blown.
Replace it, all charging circuits working fine now.

I'm going to be doing my own this spring. There are folks on this forum with the parts list and the instructions on how to do it yourself.
Even if you screw it up and take it to a glass shop, you've got a chance of saving yourself some substantial money.
You pull the window, which on our rigs amounts to removing the screws on the inside of the window.
Remove it, and remove the glass from the frame. The two panes of glass have a rubber-like spacer which goes around the perimeter of the window and is available, along with the sealant, from Amazon. You take the old panes apart, clean the windows, layout the new seal and sealant, put the top pane back on, and then reinstall.

Can't wait to do mine. Both the driver and passenger windows, the window just to the right of the door and the main windows in the living space all are fogged.
One of the areas that Fleetwood/Pace seriously fell down on.

Gary - I replaced my two front windows at a glass shop. I called Fleetwood and they will not provide you with only the glass. You have to buy the entire frame + glass. I could not justify the cost. I went to a local glass shop and they custom made glass to fit existing frames. I dont recall the final price but it ended up being about 60% of ordering the glass + frames through Fleetwood. I have not replaced the two living room windows yet.

:Z Y'all sure have been quiet -- but who am I to talk. The last time I posted here was 8/10/11. Just wanted to send out a HOWDY & hope your NEW YEAR is off to a good start. Hubby is planning to retire by the end of March & we plan to start traveling...YEAH!!

Hope everyone's PACE's are running smooth. We've had some troubles with our jacks. Had to have the motor replaced on one of the rear jacks recently. Love having them when they work!!

Hope to hear from y'all soon.
Safe travels to all who are on the road!!

Allways hold till the red lights come on, it looks like it comes across the top and down the seam strip and drains off in floor from the corner of slide. need to find where it is coming in from.

When you put the slide in, did you hold the button down until the two LEDs on the control panel came on? If not, then the little arms didn't come out and completely seal in the retracted position...

Happened to me...leaked like hell.

We have a 06 Pace Arrow 36 D, that has started leaking at the back end of the full wall slide, seems like it is worse when the slide is in. We keep it in a garage so it is dried out good, we turned 2 fans on it for a week, and left the windows open. it is allright for now but have got to find the leak before spring. Was going to pull it outside and use the water hose on the awning to see if it is leaking. Any good ideals!! Thanks H.B.
