I recently purchased a 34' 2006 Fleetwood Southwind MH. I would like to replace the microowave with a convection type. Is there a model that would fit right in.

A word of caution:
I have replaced two microwaves with convection types, one in my last motor home and one in my present unit.

Unless the one you get is designed for a built in installation and exhausts out of the front, or your current installation has a way of exhausting through the wall I would highly recommend getting the "build-in kit" for whatever brand microwave/convection you get.

In convection mode, convection micros get much hotter than the standard ones. When it was first installed, the temp behind mine got up to 200 degrees F after 45 minutes in convection mode.
I did not get the build-in kit for my first installation and went through a lot of hassle getting the temp behind the unit down to a reasonable level. I ended up adding a grill above the microwave and an exhaust fan blowing air through the side of the motor home. This involved a lot of work and cutting through the side of the motor home.

The second time I got the kit and the job was much easier. There was additional sheet metal in the kit that formed ducts to move air in from the front and back out the front. It also came with decorative grills that make the installation look like it came from the factory with the unit already in place.

Note that there are some minimum clearances in back and on the sides that must be met. You should make sure the convection micro you buy is small enough to allow for the proper clearances.

I bought one for our mh at RV Surplus in Elkhart, IN. They had them several of them for $150. Same size of microwave.

Ours is a 2002 Southwind with a sharp. I found one at HD. Perfect fit with a lot of new features.

I had to remove my microwave for repairs and I suggest you remove the existing microwave and then compare how it is mounted with any new ones you are looking at.

It takes TWO people to remove a microwave safely. Mine is a Sharpe convection oven and it is quite heavy.

Ours is a Sharp Carousel But the rig is a 2002 so the model may not be available.

We have used Micro/convection oven as our only oven at home for over 30 years. Models for S&B houses and motorhomes are likely different. Out home unit (Panasonic)is far too tall.

just be sure that the area is well enough vented for a convection oven.

Yep, we just replaced our convection oven/microwave with one from Home Depot.

Watch your door opening. On the original one it open where the door was flush with the side. The new one opens past the edge of the unit, made for a little 'adjusting' to get it to work without hitting the opening on the cabinet next to the opening.

I was just visiting a fellow RV'er who removed his original '88 MW and replaced it with a convection/MW oven. Then he got a small MW and installed it in another cabinet over the dinette. Excellent work, they look like original installed equipment.

Not much help, other than to say that there is bound to be something out there that will fit your needs, probably exactly...

We have an LG convection microwave in our new Allegro, and absolutely love it!
We can't believe how flexible it is for all type of cooking/ baking/roasting!

Measure and go to Lowes/homedepot and see what they have in stock.

There is a metal mount on the wall and two to four screw/bolts thru the top cabinet. Should be about 29 3/4 inch for convection microwave which will be a 30 inch hole.

Check with Fleetwood. A convection microwave MAY have been an option and they can give you the details as to the brand, etc.
