My cousin is stranded. She has a 2007 Forrest River George Town on a 2006 Ford F53 chassis. The fuel line cracked and she has it at a Ford dealer in Story City Iowa. They did a search and found that there were only 2 in the US. They ordered 1 and it came damaged so they ordered the other one and it came damaged also. I can not believe there are no more of these parts available! The part number is 5U9Z 9A322EA. She has had this motorhome since new and has less than 20,000 miles on it, Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks, Ed

I am sure it is a Ford standard connector and there are places that sell kit to repair fuel lines, usually with a nylon type line. Yes, this is DOT approved.

Thank you for all of the replies, I will check it out tomorrow. I think there must be some way to fix it but she is kind of at the dealers mercy as she can't drive it with gas pouring out by the gas tank. The dealer says they have found the company that makes the fuel line and they may be able to make a new one. I have seen pictures of the fuel line connection and it does not look like a regular flare fitting it looks like something special that I have never seen. She contacted Ford and they said none were available???? I will call the number that MountainAiro5 gave me in the morning.

Some DOT Air Line is rated for fuel. The DOT Air Line is really tough stuff but flexable. Maybe they can make a new fuel line using that type of tubing.

Yes, she has tried 2 different Ford dealers and contacted ford but they show no parts available. It is a special fitting that connects to the gas tank. The line is approximately 22.5 feet long! She is in contact with a place in Michigan that says they MAY be able to make the line if she sends them one of the damaged ones. Apperantly, Ford changed their design in 2007 and must mot have made a change over kit available. I don't think I want a motor home on a Ford chassis, she has been stranded in Iowa for almost 2 weeks.

She has tried the site you suggested with no luck, but thank you!

On edit, I think the part fit up through 2011.

Ed,

That is the same year as my chassis. I have used this site to find parts, but it will not usually tell you availability until you select a dealer and then you usually have to call them as they have the real system.

https://parts.ford.com/en.html

Put in your vehicle information and look under Fuel system- Fuel Chassis, it is known as the Pipe-Fuel part. Part #: 9A322

I noticed is there are 5 of them depending on wheelbase. (wow, another reason not to get a RV factory chopped custom wheelbase) and that there is a sister part 9B337 that has 5 depending on WB also. Maybe it is a follow-on # for the same thing and your parts guy insisted on the original #???

Any competent mechanic can bend a new fuel line. Just make sure the use a flaring tool and the correct fittings. Do not use rubber connectors. You donโ€™t say where the fuel line is cracked or how long a section, but you can also buy universal stainless braded lines that might work.
