I never hear any cooling fans coming from the fridge vent outside my 06 National Sea Breeze I hear my friends working sometimes! I heard there was a problem with the wires being on backwards and it would not work like that not even in reverse! Has anyone had this problem or know where these wires are located so I could check! Fridge run's ok but worried about recall!

1. MOST fan inop is the tstat for the fans. To access the Fan tstat you must pull the refer. You MUST pull the refer to do any diag on the fan system.
2. IF you pull the refer and determine the tstat is the problem, replace both fans also since you have it exposed
3. The "backward" wire issue has to do with the Fan connections on the back of the main control board outside. When someone does the 1200 recall, they have to remove that black plastic cover and when they reinstall the cover and connect the wires they install the 2 wires that control the fan on the wrong spades. The CORRECT install is for the large white wire to be on the LEFT spade and the large black wire to be on the right spade in the middle of the board. If indeed reversed, the fans will not come on at all. Doug

When we bought our used coach the recall had been done by previous owner. Fans would not run. I started with the simple solution and switched the wires. Everything worked! It is annoying as heck that people cannot do a job right!

I believe the fans are on a thermostat so it may be that it's not warm enough to turn them on.

If you open the side plate on your coach you should be able to hear the fans. If not, a small makeup mirror or inspection mirror should allow you to see if the fans are working. The fact your fridge is running ok indicates the fans are probably working. They have nothing to do with the recall. From California you should have no problems with them. In high humidity states they are necessary for sure.

When you remove the access panel on the side of your coach, you'll see the coils going up the back of the fridge. Those two fans sit on top of those coils. The only way to access them is to pull the fridge forward about 2 feet. Not something to do everyday.....I have a pic I'll find and post it here on edit....Dennis
