I need to change the oil on our 2013 Canyon Star Ford V10. Anyone know how many quarts or oil does the engine hold? I have heard three different amounts. Does anyone know the Filter #? Any help is appreciated.

I normally have the dealer do the oil change but they are booked for the next three weeks and I am past my change point and have Three trips planned before they can get me in. I change all the oil in my cars so not afraid to get this one to.

From the owners manual -

Oil filter Ford Part Number FL-820-S

7 quarts Motorcraft SAE 5W-20 Premium Synthetic Blend Motor Oil.

Not in the owners manual - Prefill the filter before installing. The filter is mounted vertically so prefilling is simple and won't make a mess.

Edit: Looked up the wrong chassis year. 2006 lists 6 quarts while 2013 lists 7.

Our 2003 Ford V10 takes 6 quarts. I use the Ford Motorcraft 5W20 semi synthetic, which is stocked by WalMart. The filter is a Motorcraft 820S, also from WalMart. East to DIY the oil change on our Class C.
