Old thread- rebuild

Quite a while ago there was a thread i believe in the Class C section about a guy up in Washington state that was rebuilding an rv, it was quite a thread with pictures and updates and had quite a few of us following it. Anyway, I have lost track of it and would like to see the finished product or at least get caught up if anyone remembers his name or can find the link. I have spent no small amount of time looking for it in the search box and on the web with no success.. Anyone here remember it?

I will make another try at a guess. Would it be Mudshovel from Tacoma, WA at http://forums.woodalls.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/26650452.cfm ?

I think you may win the C-gar Gene. Though from my memory there was WAY more than 9 pages but again the archiving may have pared that down. It sure looks like it from my fuzzy memory though I thought he had built a shed around it at some point due to the noted rains and tarps.. Anyway thanks for your efforts (y)

was it a 30-something guy w/ young kids and a GMCish shaped class B+, white fiberglass shell, and what struck me was i think it has a side mounted AC? i loved it, but it was well kept by PO, and only a minor rehab job. it may have appeared in 2007-09 time.

like this?

Thank you for the responses guys. Nice to know someone remembers it and I'm not nuts, lol. Seemed like he was losing steam when I lost track, figured it would derail but was hoping he could get her finished with all the support he was getting.. ah se la vie. Again you guys rock, thank you for your help.

oldtrucker63 was in Kentucky. The guy in Washington was in Monroe if memory is working correct. I wish I could remember his handle. He had about four major problems going on at once. Seems at the end he was having house trouble and the RV was a dance floor on wheels then he faded out of sight.

You might be thinking of this thread - http://forums.woodalls.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/23470993.cfm was started by oldtrucer63 and had 349 pages or more of chatter.

I know the thread you are asking about but what happened? Not a clue.

Well the last post I know of was in 2014 so thank you for answering my question as to why I could not find it. That was helpful. Guess I will have to let it stay buried, I was just hoping someone would remember it or at least his handle so I could look it up for old time sake. There used to be a ton of people on here following it then, but time rolls on. Again thanks for the help.

You've not provide enough information for anyone to really search for it. Hopefully, someone will remember the thread and is subscribed to it.

Note: Subscribing to a thread that you are particularly interested in is a good way to keep up with it. Buy subscribing, you get a link to the thread on your My Forums page. That page will tell you if a new post as been made to the thread. You can even have an email send to you to alert you to new posts. But that doesn't help you with this thread.

If the thread is more than a year old, the search engine will not be to find any part of the thread more than 365 days old. If the last post was more than 365 days old, the forum's engine will not be able to find it at all. Sadly, on the evening of April 29, 2013, the forum quit properly archiving posts. That continues today.

For those that don't know, when a post becomes 1 year old and the thread it is in has been inactive for a year, the thread is locked and it is moved from the active database to an archive. That archive is suppose to be completely searchable, but we are now looking at 22 months of "missing" posts.

They are not really missing, but the forum's search engine will not find them, which makes them inaccessible using the forum's software.

If you are good with Google searches, you can still find them.

For your thread, if you have a key phrase or word from the thread, you can use Google's search site syntax to find the thread. For example, if one does a Google search for

site&#58RV.Net "Quite a while ago"

the result pages would have links to all the threads that contain the exact phrase "Quite a while ago" (The search will not be case sensitive so it will also find "quite a while ago"

Good luck.

If you quote this post, the site&#58RV.Net "Quite a while ago" will become site:RV.Net "Quite a while ago"
