What you really need, is a chassis manual and the year is probably a 96 or older for your 97. These may be found on Amazon or eBay.
As for manuals and brochures, look online for these in the PDF format.

I have no idea why any owner of a vehicle or RV would sell the coach without the manual that came new with it. It's crazy.

I too like having the manuals, but honestly, some are better than others. Often they are unhelpful.
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

I guess all manuals are not created equal. Every wire is numbered with gauge and color.

Problem with exhaust brake go to wire schematic

Another problem is see all the time on the forum is leaking rear seals. Go to the chassis manual with break down and part numbers

I have the full set of manuals for our coach.
The manuals for the individual appliances are somewhat useful.
The coach manual is so generic as to be pretty much useless. The pictures and diagrams do not match the coach in most instances. It does not tell which tv coax is for which antenna, it does not give wiring or plumbing diagrams, it does not tell which tanks are installed, nor does it tell where the tanks are under the floor. It does give a nice overview of the coach without being very specific about anything. There isn't even a decent description of the switches on the dashboard!
The Ford manuals are like most other vehicle Owner Manuals. They give some information, but considering the modifications that Fleetwood made to the chassis, much of the information doesn't mean much. I guess it is somewhat valuable to know that the "stripped chassis" was not made for ambulance use.

I must agree, go to the manufacturer of the specific appliance and get the manual for the model you have. Go to Ford (or whoever) for the manuals for the chassis. For the coach body, if you do find a manual, you will probably be disappointed.
Keep checking eBay, you never know what will show up there.
Good luck.

This is for motor homes but most of it applies to trailers as well
Engine manuals: Contact a dealer who sells that make. Or the comany that made the engine.
Same for transmission..
Chassis.. YOu really don't need a manual as the only item of value is lubricartion oints

House (This part applies to traiolers as well)

Walls are walls. Both inside and outside, you should already know all you need to know there. Same as (inside) your sticks and bricks (Outside) your car body.

Doors, Mirrors, Steps, Believe it or not those are all 3rd party products and most of the companies that make 'em offer on-line downloadable manuslas Google something like this make, model, manual

Replace make and model with the make and model

Appliances, Fridge, Microwave, TV, A/C Water pump. and so on and so forth

Likewise, you can download the manuals online

Even leveling jacks

that is my suggestion... Download the manuals from the manufacturer's web site on all but the chassis. Engine and transmission manuals you may have to purchase.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

Our rig came with a bunch of manuals for each independent item installed. But not just one that puts them all together.

Check the drawers along side the bed.

That is where I found my manuals for 3 of the used MH's I bought and 1 used TT! It appears to be the place they put them since they don't have a glove box!! :C

I'm with the OP on this. I like to have the manuals to the rig -- just look how many questions on a place like this or at farcebook could be avoided with the manuals at hand. As an example: winterizing instructions for that specific rig.

I agree that it is more important to find the manuals for the appliances and attached equipment, though -- most of which can be found online.

Now, finding manuals for a 20 year old rig -- that's another matter.

Not worth the paper you would print it on. RV manuals are just too fluffy and have no real useful information. You would be bettermoff making a list of appliances, by make, model and serial number. Then go online and download manuals for each item.
