Seems like everyone has the short RV's.
I still have my 1988 Fleetwood Pace Arrow, 37ft.
When looking for parts, I actually have to look up parts for a 1987 P30. I blew an airbag on the front passenger side. When it blew, I still had to get home . At home I noticed that my motorhome was sagging a little at the passenger front. I looked under the RV and saw that the coil spring was compressed a lot. I then jacked it up and found that the rubber jounce bumper between the "A"arms was also broke in half. So I ordered the new Firestone Airbags for my 37ft Pace Arrow and I also found a new Jounce bumper for it. So when I went under to replace the Jounce bumper, there was absolutely NO access hole or any kind of space to be able to remove or even see a nut or bolt mounting the stock Jounce bumper to the "A"arm. So I have no idea how they would have even mounted it? Would it be ok to drill a hole in the upper "A" arm just above the old mounting on the lower "A" arm? I was also wondering if I should replace my coil springs? And if I did, could I just put the airbags inside the coils before installing them? I was told that I really don't need to replace the coil springs, because they are only sagging because of needing new airbags. I did notice the excessive wear on the inside tread of the tires when this all happened. Also, my hydraulic leveling Jack's stopped working when this all happened?
Anyways, I'm just reaching out for feedback. On another note, I am actually Disabled and use a wheelchair to get around, but I am doing this work myself! That's one thing I am really good at, Working on the Ground!! ๐

Hello. The front end of my HR is sagging and I can't use my front levelers because they can't fully extend. So I am thinking of some kind of overhaul. I bought some new airbags to install. I also looked at some new coil springs. I find heavy-duty springs for sale that supposedly don't need airbags. But I wonder if .they would make the ride too stiff. Maybe I would be better off with OEM-type springs so I could adjust the ride with the airbags. I don't really have any knowledge about this so I would appreciate any advice or experience. Thank you.

The p30 chassis is a bad item.Weak suspension. Bad auto park brake. Parts are getting hard to find and can be pricey. I am a gm guy but not the p30.Do not install air bags. Get the aftermarket coils. It is not inusual to spend $5000 on the front end and handling add ond.
