I noticed that the late models traverse have no air conditioner in the rear. For anyone who has owned one of these can they tell me if it gets really hot back there while dry camping?

I am thinking about buying one.

You can get away without AC in parts of CA and British Columbia but not in most of the U.S. in summertime!

If it's hot, the van interior will be *really* hot. Mine has the a/c but I don't recall ever being in a place where I could plug in and it was hot enough to warrant the a/c. While I've got a Honda 2000 portable generator, I've never taken it with the van.

The Traverse is a minimal rig and definitely not for everyone. But it does what it does very well and raising the top gives you plenty of headroom.

No coach aircon except from the truck itself. No bathroom either. It IS great for fitting into your garage at 18 1/2 ft but I would look too at the Lexor which has a few extras you might like. If you are dry camping a lot, not having aircon or a bathroom and,NO height so start crouching, is a downer, Just saying.
