Price for 2016 motorhome

Looking to buy my first Class A Diesel Pusher. I'm looking at 2016 Thor Tuscany XTE 40 BX which MSRP at $307,269. What would be a good price off sticker, like 33-37%. Just wondering how far they will come down. Thanks

While I'll stay away from the Thor issue, I wouldn't expect them to for huge discounts on the 2016 models when we're only half way through 2015 and only half way through 2015's summer. They're not under any pressure on them yet.

As far as what DP with bunks would I recommend? Easy answer, Newmar Ventana 4315 Floorplan.

Hung Wall Construction (can't delaminate like so many others do) and Comfort Drive make this an easy choice.

Yes, I am biased, we've owned (3) new Newmars now, all 3 have been excellent. I also owner a Thor built TT that I have completely rebuilt, so take that for what it's worth.

And Comfort Drive is the best kept secret in the RV world. After having it since '08 I doubt we'll ever own a MH without it.

Now consider for not much more $$$ than you're looking at you get a tag axle chassis, an ISL engine vs an ISC, Bigger Tires, heavier axles, more CCC - just to name a few.

Now take a look at resale and I think you'll see the choice is pretty easy.

Tiffin has very good reputation as does Newmar. Can't forget Fortravel. Even Winnebago are well made with large support network. Do a search on the forums for Thor. You will be reading all night as was said before.

If that Thor has a schwintek slide, I'd be running for the hills....they have had countless revisions but according to the best mobile tech here, they are still problematic...if you would like to research Thor, do a search on 93mastercraft's posts..You'll be up most of the night.

Since the 16's are brand new and just released, I doubt if you'll find one more than 25% off MSRP. Now a 2015 that has not sold is a different matter. 35% off is common.
