I have a1992 Bounder with a roof A/C and at first it was dripping a little water in the bed now it seems like it is running slow and not as cool the brand is Coleman TSR
Do these have parts that can be replaced or does the whole unit get trashed?
Thanks in advance for your help and advise...
There is always moe thing with a older RV...oh we'll. ha ha

They make an AC unit that sets in the house and you vent it out through a window.
It is portable

I'm told that the bearings are bad, and that they can not be replaced, ( some strange type of bearing)

Have a motor shop rewind it.

Ok, the rear AC has died. I'm told it is the motor and that they do not make it any longer
I've asked 4 different places, all the same story...
So, the newer rigs are putting the AC units in the basements, could I put a window type unit
In one of my rear basements and use the heating duct work to pipe it in ? Or just make
So new ducts, in the bedroom I have the closet area which I could run some new duct work up into
I could cut a drain for the unit in the basement floor, and add a fan to help blow into the
AC unit. Does this sound like it would work? For one the new roof AC is about $900.00
Where a window unit is about $200-300 and I could do the duck....
Any thoughts would be great it's a 1992 bounder 34 ft.
Thanks...

Do a Google search for cleaning RV evaporator coil - many people clean the condenser coil but many forget about the evaporator coil and it's possible yours has never been cleaned.

After you clean the coils (condenser and evaporator) - run the AC and check the temperature of the input/output - shooting for something close to 20 degree difference.

Clean the coils. This can be done from above or by bringing it in.

I have the mobile RV repair guys do it. They have a gadget they put down in their so water doesn't get into your coach and that way they can clean it from above. You won't believe the difference once the coils are cleaned.
