I'm with DSDP Don... In California, the dealer is REQUIRED to provide a WRITTEN estimate of work to be done. California is probably the most consumer oriented State in the Union. The OP says he wanted a "discount for a less than satisfactory job.", yet he also states the fluids and filter was changed..:h.
I would be REALLY concerned WHY your tranny was 3 QUARTS LOW. And why would you pay someone $100/hour to check the air pressure in your tires. Les Schwabb will do it for free..:h.
I don't have a dog in this fight, and McBride's has only a "Very Good" rating with the last post in 2012, but I, for one would be interested in the "other side of the story".......Dennis

With as clear as I tried to be, apparently I have not been. So with that in mind, for very specific reasons I will not return to this business and would never recommend to anyone that might listen to me. I have received good information on this website and wanted to share the same, for what it's worth.

Your post doesn't make sense. California REQUIRES a written quote be provided to the customer prior to service. Your statement says the quote didn't match the price on the internet. So...I'm assuming that you got a quote prior to the work which you authorized and then complained about it. If you thought you could get it done cheaper, as you stated, why didn't you leave and go elsewhere.
Why would they be required to give you a ride home? Sounds a little like you authorized the work and then had second thoughts about how expensive it was.

I should also mention that the website for the business was apparently outdated as that was the excuse they used when I pointed out that the quote for the bill was not what was listed on the website.
I must say, you just assumed that the prices on the Internet were correct without getting a quote before the work was done. While I think it reasonable to assume the website to be correct, not obtaining a face to face quote before authorizing any work was just asking for what you got.
