Should I consider these Dealer Accessories?

I'm getting ready to pick up my new King Aire at the end of the month and the dealer wants me to consider two accessories:

1) RESIST ALL PAINT AND INTERIOR PROTECTION. $2471.00 plus sales tax, and
2) TyronRun Flat bands. $2602.00 plus sales tax.

I'm immediately inclined to reject both products but wanted to hear from this group to see if there was any valid reason to consider these products at these prices.

I would stay away from both. I use to demo the Tyron products by blowing the tire with explosives at 65 mph while they drove it around tearing up the tire.

Typically, when you have a flat while driving, the tire is destroyed. If you continue to drive, the tire can actually come off of the rim and roll away. All the Tyron product does is prevent the tire from coming off the rim. It will still be flat and hard to drive.

These are two very valuable options. FOR THE DEALER.

For the buyer, not so much.

Amazing..top of the line Newmar needing this stuff...it is a profit center for dealers..so NO NO NO...I think it is an insult to you for the dealer to even start with this...you are buying the top of the line and as such you should not be treated like you purchased a Volkswagen bug....unreal...I wonder if they are charging you a doc fee to handle the papers since you re out of state....I've seen doc fees go to 600 or more...then I say no thanks and walk out....I understand a 50 to 100 max charge in state but out of state, to hand you a temp and goodbye?.....watch them try to pull that one on you.

I have the run flats came with the rig. I would not pay extra for them. They make changing tires a son of a gun. They only install on fronts. The paint protection is a waste. Just keep it washed and waxed you'll be better off.

Holstein13, I would pass on both products.

I like the idea of run flats but I think I would wait until it was time to change tires as they will have to dismantle your brand new tires and they could damage something. Have you ever had a flat tire before?

I check our tires before every departure. I have on occasion had to add air because of a leaky valve stem (I have the tool to tighten it up). For 57,000 miles on the first set in 6 yrs. (7 yrs. by date codes), we never had a flat tire.

The things that they are trying to sell you will be available later if you change your mind. We were offered an extended warranty for $8,900 (bumper to bumper), but after I read what was not covered, it seemed like nothing was covered! Save your money.

Personally I'd be concerned that this dealer is pushing these items on you not a very reputable item beware !!! Not to be rude but I'd look over the deal I got again . You either got a great deal and they're trying to make some extra cash or thinking the pots deep and a little deeper

No! You may as well just cut a check for $5K to the dealer and say here's a little extra cash for that $800K MH. You'll get nothing in return anyway....

#1 ---- NO, NO, OH did I say NO

#2 ---- Tyron Bands are an excellent safety item but the dealer price is way over inflated, unless that is for all 6 wheels. Normally, they are only installed on the front wheels and they cost less than $1200 installed on both. If the price were right(< $1000), I personally would go with the Tyrons on the steer tires.
