Suggested Retail-Lazydays

Hi All- We are potentially looking at upgrading our coach in the near future. We live in Tampa so Lazydays is right down the street...we did not buy our coach from them but have had majority of service work done there so I know how they have treated me on that side. We have friends that have had great experiences purchasing a coach but of coarse you read some of the bad stuff as well....

In any case, for those that have purchased from LD, what was your experince like in terms of the negotiation....what's the typical wiggle room on say their web posted suggested retail vs. what you negotiated?

Should note- talking used coach- 2010

Any info and advice is appreicated!

Thanks!!

I don't know about LD today, but in 2009 I was in the market for a 38' to 40' DP. I had a 35' 2005 gas A that I needed to trade. Owed nothing on the 35' and was paying cash for a DP (2005 to 2008). I live in KY, but was willing to drive for a good deal.
I looked for 6 mos. mainly online & Phone. Looked at private sales and talked with several large volume dealers.
My best was with Motor Home Specialist, Alvorado, TX. An 800 mile drive for me, but well worth. I also talked with LD's. These people in TX move a lot of MH all over the US plus Canada.

Don't know about today, but 30% plus upgrades thrown in did it for us.

I would agree with most comments here. I would shoot for 30% off MSRP and settle at 25%. I think the dealers generally add on 40% mark up for the sticker price so negotiate and everyone should end up happy in the end.

I saw a listing for a 2010 Via and emailed LD asking for a price. Their quote was less than 10K less than the MSRP for a 2013. I replied and suggested that was too much and said at the Pomona Show I could beat that price on a 2014. The online sales manager email back saying he would work with me on a 2014. No further mention of the 2010.

Two emails and I dealing with the Sales Mgr., either they are hungry or think I'm stupid.

I would say 25% off a used vehicle is a good bet. IT will matter on milage and year of the rig etc but they want to sell them and not keep them so if they have had the unit on the lot for greater than a month, they are paying interest on that unit and want it off their lot. LD has a good rep with some people and not so good with others, I think the salesman matters in this case, not most but this case with Lazy Days.

we purchased a 2010 Tiffin Bus from LazyDays about three weeks ago. Mike Nasco was the salesperson. Compared to our previous experience with our local (Ohio) dealers LazyDays was excellent. We were in a trade situation so its difficult to say just how much off their price we ended up. But, we thought it was a fair deal. It was worth the trip down their for the purchase.

Bought our last unit from LD. I negotiate on the bottom line figure ( out-the door) figure. I was very happy with our deal, the coach and the service dept.
Mike Nasco was an excellent salesperson. Just recently we had to have a part replaced and Mike went out of his way to help us. It's what the bottom figure is that counts, IMO.
