Hi guys. I have been looking at the Tiffin Phaeton 36GH and would like to know what the best "percentage wise" one can expect to get off a new unit? Thank You. Louie

You might want to wander over to TRVN (TiffinRVNetwork.com) to search on the subject or ask if anyone is willing to tell you what they got.

Realistically, 30 percent is the upper range and that's with a dealer who is willing/eager to work with you.

I don't know anyone who has gotten 35% off a new coach, but I'm sure someone out there will claim they know someone whose brother's neighbor's second-cousin's priest got that deal.

Our local dealership in VA offered a little over 10 to someone we know. (Neither of us purchased there.)

The OP asked a legitimate question and one I asked on this same forum many years ago when I purchased my first motor home. Why people feel compelled to respond with a 50% discount suggestion is beyond my comprehension.

A fifty percent discount on a new current year Tiffin is not a reasonable offer nor would it be reasonable for a new year old unit. As a salesman, I would walk away from a customer that seriously started with those numbers and consider them to be a waste of time.

A good question has been asked and deserves a reasonable response corresponding to real world purchases and or offers to sell from dealers.

...and therefore as a salesman, YOUR suggestion of a reasonable discount percentage would be?......

Tiffin would say his best % off is zero. You will have to dicker from there. Personally I like Dennis' number plus a sizeable rebate.
