Tilt Up Bed in Class C

Greetings. Just spent great weekend at Portland OR RV show. Lots of interesting Class C models. The one feature that my wife wants, and which we did not see, is a queen bed that tilts up so that you can take advantage of storage space underneath the bed. A couple of our friends have Coach House Class Cs and they both have that feature. Does a "stock" RV manufacturer offer that option in a Class C?

Happy Camping.

My 2008 Winnebago Outlook has the tilt bed. It is a short queen. I store toilet paper, black tank chemical, etc. there. Also, the emergency retract for the slide is under the bed.

The Unity queen bed model by EEE/LTV had a lot of storage under the bed. Not sure if they have made any changes but you can check them out on their website.

I just checked their website (leisurevans.com/unity/floorplans). The floorplan I was referring to is called the Island Bed.

My 2001 Fleetwood 26F has that. I put light stuff in there because I have a motorcycle on the back!

Mine has storage under the bed. The folding chair for the bedroom desk/vanity goes there. That would be Winnebago/Itasca Minnie/Spirit/Outlook/Impulse 329B floorplan, I don't think it is still made, but it was around for at least five years even while the names of the model lines changed.

If the bed lifts up for storage, it will not be an option. It will be a feature of that particular model. There are models with under bed storage, under-sofa storage, under-dinette storage, and even some with outside access to under-bed storage.

Keep looking, you'll find it, it will then be a question whether you like the other features of the floorplan.

Now in our case, the underbed is packed with mechanicals. No storage room so no hinged easy access.
Currently RV-less but not done yet.

Our Phoenix Cruiser 2910 model has "flip up" storage under the queen bed. Their models with twin beds allow for storage under one of the beds. I "think" that several other manufacturers do the same. Richard

By tilt up are you referring to the jack-knife couch? Nice to keep things under in our previous Winnebago Minnie, but terrible to sleep on. Dick

After reading some replies I see you want the queen bed with gas struts so it can be opened. We have had two with that feature including the one with the jack-knife couch. The lift up bed with storage under was great.

My 2008 Fleetwood Class C Tioga 31M has the tilt up bed, and the inside floor is fully carpeted. The entire space is usable. The only thing it is missing are the support arms to hold it up. If this old a motorhome has one, there is no reason a much newer one would not have one, at least on a Fleetwood.

I've seen tilt up beds and I have heard that you can modify an existing bed to be a tilt up. Unfortunately, the bottom of my bed is sealed. There is probably stuff under there that they don't want exposed. I would think that your higher end Class C RV's would offer this feature.
