Tire hello

While checking my tire pressure I found that my dually drivers side inner tire wouldn't take air. No reading. The tire popped off the rim.

No idea how long it's been, haven't installed tpms yet (but it just jumped to the top of the list.)


Roadside assistance is ******** no matter where I call. I can drive to the local truck stop, but should I do that or call the mobile repair service.

And one of my warranties is going to cover the cost. Got tire warranty but they're not open today, the call center is asking if I have a spare. I don't. We can tow you. I might as well drive.

Help. Leaving tomorrow for first trip of the year.

The tire company (Les Schwab) that came out did not charge us a dime to replace the valve stem. Had they charged us for roadside assistance you simply pay upfront and get reimbursed from your RV Insurance Co. We happen to have Progressive and they reimbursed for roadside assistance before.

Had Good Sam Roadside Assistance for 9yrs along with Extended warranty through Good Sam thinking they would work together. Found out the hard way they didn’t work together at at all and could care less about us being customers of both.
Have been with Coach-Net since and they have made 2 tows for us, once on a gas and once on a diesel coach with no questions asked and nothing but professional.
They even assisted on a flat tire on our truck. One more year with extended warranty and we are done as well as we have paid out $5k+ and they covered nothing in repairs.

Contact Simple Tire.com. They carry this tire. I would phone them as searching for this tire on their site is tough. I simply searched by tire make, model and size and they are available here or from Amazon.

No tax from ST.COM and they process orders quickly and they arrive in days depending on how far you live from one of their warehouses. I've bought several sets of tires from them over the years and they are great to deal with from my experiences. $432.93. Tire Rack lists this tire at $472.00.

So there are a couple options if you can wait a few days for the new tire to arrive.

Have used Good Sam Roadside 3 times now with no issues.

However, None of the issues were tire related.

Think twice about going with Good Sam...Trust me anytime I tried to call for help with a tire on a 40 ft. MH they would only tow it. (Not going to happen) Explained until I was blue in the face that I just needed a commercial tow truck to bring a tire...errrrg or actually in our case replace the faulty valve stem. Very frustrating. Never had any luck with GS re: tire help. For what its worth..pay out of you pocket for a Tire shop to come out and replace and get reimbursed from your ins. company.

Wife and I decided that we're going with Good Sam roadside assistance. Seems like you wouldn't leave us hanging like that.

These insurance policy roadside assistance joints aren't worth the money. And we pay very little.

At the truck stop now. They say they can do the work.

Only 5 miles from home. Took slow roads.

I would lift it off the ground and air it up. Takes a big compressor and pull the valve core out. Not recommended for people without experience mounting tires.

Call a mobile tire truck. Driving on a single is foolish unless you know your weights and tire capacity. Do you have axle weights?
