Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems TPMS

Thinking about getting a TPMS for our B+ dually and have it narrowed down to the final selection, the TST 507. My question is being the flow thru system and slightly heavier, should I have the wheels rebalanced?
Guess I ought to call Truck Systems Technologies and ask them?

The system did tell me for one but not the other.

Rubber stems can not handle the added weight when traveling at highway speeds.

This has been my hesitation on add TPMS. I just don't trust rubber stems over the long haul to handle the extra weight and force applied when accelerating, at speed and during braking. The bending stress on rubber stems concerns me. If I get a TPMS I'll have the rubber stems replaced with metal.

Just purchased the new TST system with the flow through and they work very well. The airing of the tire is only slighlty slower than without the sensor. I really like the color monitor too.

bob213 and others, what do you recommend for a tire rotation rebalancing in miles?

How do you take the outer rear sensor off to add air? Do you have extensions?

Make sure you have room for the flow-through on the duals.

Do you have metal valve stems? If not I would go to metal and have them re-balanced then. Otherwise I would wait until your next scheduled rotate and balance service.
