My B is a PW Ford Excel TD 2007. On the bottom of my fresh water tank are two drains: a round plug in the middle and a spigot type with small lever toward the edge. The lever broke and I had to use a wrench to open this petcock valve. More broke off and I wound up pulling the whole thing out. Are these drain valves standard purchases and insertions? It didn't have threads on the end so I don't know how it stays sealed into the tank.

We have recently became the proud owners of a 2010 PW Excel and are also experiencing the same problem with the valve on the fresh water tank. I see that in the replies there is note that camco has a replacement for the valve. Does anyone know the part number???? Thanks in advance, it is much appreciated.
The plug at the bottom center of the tank is also a drain plug to completely empty the tank. The small spigot on the side is further up and will not drain fully. Alain
No, it's not the anode rod, that's in the hot water tank, Barb is talking about the fresh water tank. Barb, if you e-mail PW, they'll give you a part number or even a size for an alternate fitting.
The other plug is your anode rod to protect the tank from erosion. You should remove it every year or two for replacement. My anode uses a 1 1/16 (or 27mm) socket to remove. At the end of the season, pulling the anode is a good way to assure all water is out of the tank. I just buy a new rod every spring and leave the rod out during the winter to allow the tank to drain if there is condensation.
I had the exact same thing happen on a PW 2008 Excel this fall. My valve was threaded into the opening on the rear side of the tank and I was able to screw the remaining piece out. I also noticed the plug (?) in the center bottom of the tank but did not investigate it any further.
My local RV dealer is closed for the season. Camco has a replacement valve. I'm toying with the idea of extending the drain line so I don't have to crawl underneath to reach the valve. I did find a appropriate threaded fitting at the local Home Depot which will allow me to do so.
