Washed bugs off of windshield during fog. They are pretty soft then. Getting ready to go to a Bluegrass Festival about 70 miles away for the weekend. Resupplying the cupboard for this little outing. Will be a lot of fun.

Replaced my basic Heart 2000 inverter/charger remote with a upgraded Xantrex remote that provides better control and battery information.

The Xantrex remote is about $160 retail, however a RV net buddy directed me to web site that had it $19.95. What a deal. Install and programming about 5 min.

I just switched out our home theater system to a Bluray one. Used the same speakers, so other than the hdmi cable it was a breeze. I can finally take advantage of the HD LCDs that we put in years ago !

Backed it in the shop for the winter. 2-3" on each side. Steady hand and wife on a walkie talkie. No scars. It looks huge in there. However there is still room to work on the Late Model.
How do you get out of the vehicle!?!?

I did that once, I had to crawl out the passenger side window, between the 2x4's, then up and over. Not easy, but nothing compared to attempting to get back into the rig in the spring. :S

Deen,

Our Monaco Diplomat measured 39' and the Coho ferry cost about $160.00 each way.

I also filled drains with pink stuff, as a precaution. Planning to leave for southern GA mid November.

Filled the drains with the pink stuff. Rather be safe then sorry. Still planning to get to warmer weather climate but have to take of some business here first. Fulltiming is on the horizon, just hope we can sell the house.

I fixed both of the exhaust hanger brackets, one for the genset and the other for the Hydro Hot. The manufacturer used inferior material and both had broken half way through. I did not want to lose either of those pipes, so I repaired them before that happened. I also checked the steering column U-Joint bolt to make sure it was tight. Tomorrow, I am going to check the steering wheel hold down bolt, because I have some looseness in the wheel. It does not have enough miles on it to be steering parts.

We extended the summer last week by driving our Monaco Diplomat to Port Angeles, Washington, drove it on to the Black Ball Ferry Line’s Coho bound for Victoria, BC, hooked up at the West Bay Marine Village and enjoyed a picturesque view of Victoria.
The weather treated us to seeing Victoria, BC with all of its European/British flavor and of course Butchart Gardens which is our favorite gardens on earth.
Brought the motor home on Saturday and spent yesterday cleaning it and making it ready for the winter months ahead until January when we will take it south to get out of Oregon’s wet and cold winter.
How much per foot was the ferry trip? Last time we went across we had a 17' Type B. Made the mistake of telling them it was a MH, they charged me almost double what a 17' van would have been. I haven't dared to take our present 41' MH over!!

Well, it wasn't today, it was last Friday. Filled the tank with 103 gallons of diesel, $297.75 worth!! Now at least I have diesel in case power goes out and we have to live in the MH for a while.

Now I need to change the oil and filter, then the trans fluid and filters. Trans fluid is $33 a gal and I need almost 6 gallons. Trans filters are only $70 or so but I only need them every four years or so. Fluid will go longer.

Then I can do the coolant change, I did check the SCA's and they're fine for now.

Just got back from a weekend trip to Ohio's Amish country. Winterized it yesterday before we headed home. Tonight added Power Service to the fuel tank and topped her up and Flyig J. Then off to the storage lot. Wishing for a good reason to continue using her, but don't want to re-winterize it multiple times.

Then again, you never know.... there could still be another trip out there this year. If I was only retired. 596 days and counting down!
