i greased the F53 (all 13 zirks)and changed the oil/filter. meant to do this in spring but my quad bypass got in the way. felt great to be able to actually do something. we'll be taking the first trip of the 2012 season in 3 weeks. all 50 miles and 3 days of it. i consider myself very very lucky.

Got back from camping with our HRRVC chapter. Washed the bugs and dust off, backed into it's garage and dumped the tanks. Ready for the next camping trip.

did my 3rd or 4th camping trip...

horrible rain storm Saturday morning... left at 0400 to get to the
AKC NY show... RV handling so amazing, I'm so pleased...
well half way there the wiper motor DRIVERS SIDE
stops working with a winding down sound... EEEEEK...

and stops dead center of my eyes... I found a safe place to stop to move the blade to the center.. and
I drove the rest of the way there following the white center line
praying I would be OK...

Thank goodness for my GPS and my GPS having VOICE as no way would
I navigate my way without that indicator...

I did call 3 RV places but none have techs working on the weekend
as I thought take the wiper motor from passenger side and move
to DRiver's side for my ride back home on Sunday.

Sigh, just hoping this is not going to be an expensive fix.

I then pull into the local walmart 3290 Sheridan Drive
Amherst, NY later that afternoon, only to be told โ€œnicelyโ€ by the manager โ€œoh we donโ€™t allow
Overnight RV camping here. You need to go to a truck stop 20 minutes awayโ€.
Wow so much for friendly walmart where I spend a small fortune every month ?

My friend was staying at a local Red roof motel and told them my plight and they
Said I could park in their parking lot overnight not a problem FREE and
I had their wifi, ice machine, grassy area well lit to toilet the dogsโ€ฆ
Good things do happen... LOL

I fabbed up a macerator out of and old garbage disposal and boy does it work! I was skeptical when I ran across one on the net. My uncle gave me an old one he had laying around, the motor sounded strong so I followed the instructions and sure enough I can now dump my tanks at home and into my discharge system thru a 1-1/2" flex hose. Cost 35.00-40.00

Getting everything ready to service the air filter, both back bedroom and engine.
I keep it miles from here, so I put everything I need in my PU for the trip out there. I hope I remember everything this time.
Then need to check the level in the hydraulic pumps and refill if necessary. Leveling jacks seem slow, so I'm thinking either hydraulic fluid or some silicone lube on the legs should help. Also, I need to replace the Wineguard antenna with the new Wingman. Then just enjoy the rest of the weekend in my MH.

After two weeks of testing, I'm herewith pronouncing my NORCOLD 1200 reefer FIXED (AFTER over one year of becoming knowledgeable in ammonia absorbtion cooling units, and doing lots of work with them).
Yesterday, I started back on my unfinished mod/repair of the roof. And, that'll take me a couple of weeks. Then, I'll have some time to do some of the more-standard stuff (on my motorhome).
