Which weight do they use for South Dakota registrations of a motorhome.
Looking at weights I see GVWR and GAWR noted for some motorhomes?

There should be a data plate somewhere in the coach

These fees are based on the weight and year of the vehicle.

Unless things have changed since I registered in SD back in '03, they wanted dry shipping weight.

I suggest the OP call the treasurer's office to verify.

I could not get the unloaded weight but if you can find it you will save money. I had to go to a weigh station and weigh the coach so I paid a bit more than I would have needed to if I had the correct information.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

When we registered our Hurricane they wanted the weight from the manufacturer's certificate. This is typically the GVWR.

Most likely GVWR.
