Wireless Phone Booster

We often find ourselves in locations with little or no cell service. We are on Verizon and use PdaNet for data. Does anyone use one of these devices and if so, what brand and how well does it preform?

I have an older model cell only Wilson booster and on my second trucker antenna. (the first got ripped apart above the RV, now I run it under the top next to the ladder.)
You have to be sure the booster is in the same range as your phone service. I got mine from ebay for about half price at the time that was $200 instead of $400 or so. I also put in another 12 volt outlet for the system and direct wired the antenna to the rear ladder.
The booster I have is wireless so it amplifies more than one signal in the vehicle. Will also help keep signal longer when traveling in more remote areas between towers. Will not help with no antennas in the area. There is an android app called Antennas that will pick out those that are in your vicinity and my phone will actually display the increase in signal when I look at the settings. I have seen it go from one bar to four with the booster.
All in all a very nice addition to your travel.

Another vote for the Wilson Sleek with a good antenna. Works on both a phone or a hot spot. BUT, remember, it is an "amplifier" NOT a miracle worker. You MUST have some cell signal for it to amplify, or it will not work.

I too use the WILSON SLEEK CRADLE to sit my VERIZON MIFI 2200 unit in. This has an outside antenna and really makes my MIFI unit work alot better.

Also increases my WIFI generated footprint around my trailer. Being secured some folks come knocking on the door asking if I was the one having the strong WIFI footprint wanting to use my WIFI connection haha... Course you can....

When around the trailer the WILSON sleek is my MIFI docking station hidden behind my valance curtains going around the ceiling of my POPUP trailer.

Wouldn't leave home without one...

I have a Wilson Electronics cradle booster and use my phone as a hotspot. It definitely gives me a performance increase. With a trucker antenna mounted on a collapsing flagpole I get dramatic improvements when parked. The Wilson people are very helpful if you contact them directly. Their stuff can be purchased at a number of places including Amazon.
