Mixer for home..

Question for you cooks... This would be for home use.

When we got married over 44yrs ago my Dad bought us a Hamilton Beach (I think) mixer it was chrome and on a stand. It lasted 43+yrs we bought another one (cheaper) and my wife HATES IT. So I am looking at buying her a better one for Christmas..

She does not need one that has all kinds of attachments, like the bread mixer and what ever. She just wants one that can use different size bowls and is on a stand. Any suggestions? My budget is limited to about $300.00 + or -..........

Thanks for your help.......

My mother has had one since the 40's and when it quit a few years ago she got brushes for it and put them in her self. She said that is the second time she had to do it but the old Hamilton Beach works better then the replacement Dad got her. Maybe you should take it to a repair shop and have it fixed.

Suggest you go with the cheapest, therefore the most basic, KitchenAid. It only has one size bowl, but that works just fine. Mine came with three different beaters -- one for whipping, a general one for cookies/cakes/etc, and a dough hook. Didn't think I would use the dough hook, but maybe is time for another pizza crust. She'll really like it.

OK sounds like KitchenAid is the way to go..... Now which one? She just wants basic, nothing fancy......

Does KitchenAid do different size bowls?

Thanks
