Best, most accurate GPS

I have loved my Garmin Nuvi for 14 years, but he is getting senile. Lots of "whoopsies", sending me on weird round-a-bout ways, "shortest distance" actually being longer, the "avoidance" feature sometimes own't work, dead battery. So I went to Walmart and bought a new one. Luckily it had a return policy. I hated the visuals (way to much info on display), but the worst thing was when I asked "fuel on my route" it told me the next gas station was 150 miles down the road. What??!! I have a small gas tank and use this feature all the town. When I asked my old Garmin it told me there were 4 stations within 150 miles along my route. Can someone please tell me of a GPS that they recommend? Consumer Report is not reviewing them anymore. And Amazon is only selling them through third party vendors.

WHAT? Are you off your meds? The US GPS is SUPER accurate. My Google Maps app actually shows me in the correct RV space here in Houston. Your post is nonsense.

Google maps even do algo of where you are if you have no cellphone signal (just don't shut off the map until you reach you destination.) Downside, you can't start directions without cell phone signals, duh.

Most accurate is probably a cell phone for an Asian market. It'll have a GPS chip that will receive from the non-US constellations. The Russians, Chinese and the EU all have their own GPS birds now. Typically the US market phones only receive US and Russian constellations.

US constellation isn't super accurate over North America for obvious reasons.

As far as fuel stations go, Gas Buddy on my cell phone internet is very, very hard to beat! Pull up the app, touch to button to find your location, and up pops a list of fuel stations (gas or diesel, you select), and then you can hit the "map" and it immediately shows where you are and where the fuel stations are around you.

We still have a Tom Tom that works well for us for the "long journey" driving. Once we get closer to our destination, or searching for something in an area we're at, we flip to good old Google Maps on our phones. Zero's right in and takes us right there!

(and we always carry a paper map US Atlas) in the vehicles all the time for a "just in case" moment!

Google Maps! Being free you can buy a lot of gas and it knows where the stations are! Of course, even better for gas is using Gas Buddy!

NOPE! Only if you tell it your driving a truck. Mine has 4 modes, including walking. Heck I guess I could tell it Im walking and it would take me a hundred hours to cover 50 miles.
