Dish & FOX Work it Out

All of you Dish Subscribers can now watch your FOX. FOX is to receive $1.50 per subscriber per month with the new deal. This makes FOX one of the highest-paid networks in cable and satellite TV.

It could be. I stopped watching all of it some time back.

I just drove to work listening to NPR. That will keep me informed until I catch PBS news and market watch this evening.

Totally agree. I'll include PBS news hour to the unbiased list. The others are biased opinion paid by special interest. Subtle propaganda scripted programming.

I sent Dish Network an email something to the effect...

Thank you big time dish network execs and big time fox execs. I guess the customer isn't important to you. Thanks to your little pissing match, I have no fox news. The least you could do is give us some free movie channels or some kind of refund while you geniuses work out your money problems. Why is it the PAYING customer is always the one that gets the shaft!?

They are giving me $5.00/month off my bill for 3 months. I know it's not much but it was worth the minute it took to fire off the email.

Nearly 90% of all the news outlets in the USA are owned by the same five corporate entities, and almost all of them have their own editorial bent. I find that I get better, fairer, more balanced and more comprehensive reporting from BBC America and Al Jazeera America than I do from CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, CNN or MSNBC.

Unfortunately, NONE of the major news networks is "balanced" these days. I lean to the right so yes, I prefer FOX News. CNN and MSNBC tend to turn my stomach!
