Dish network question

Hereโ€™s the plan. I have a b van with a very limited footprint on my roof.
Iโ€™m looking to remove the over the air antenna to make room for the Winegard Pathway x1. Now for the question . How much of a hassle would it be on rare occasionsi to call or go on line daily to change service locations for network programming. Also is Dish ok with this or do they get bent out of shape with frequent changes? Thanks,

Do it several times a summer. Chat is the easiest way.

Thanks all for your responses. From your posts it appears this will be a viable option.
I will be going from cable to dish in our home as well so Iโ€™ll be using one of the receivers in the RV. Sure dread getting familiar with their DVR, programming their remote where itโ€™ll operate their equipment as well as mine. Part of it I guess.

Yes... I keep a set of pre-written text scripts on file for parks we frequently return to, along with a "Fill in the blanks" script for new locations. Having almost everything written out ahead of time saves both time and errors. And as ChinDog said, how often you change locations doesn't matter. I've even changed our location twice in the same day with no problem.

I have found chat to be faster than phone. It seems the chat customer agents are more adept at RV issues than telephone agents.

on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being โ€œdonโ€™t ever call this number againโ€ changing your service address (really just the zip code) rates a .5. we do it all the time and it usually takes about 5-10 min on the phone and another 10-15 min for the change to show up in your guide (faster if you re-boot the receiver after you hang up with DISH). a DISH CSR told me that they expect to roll out an on-line option to change sevice locations (zip codes) without needing to speak or text with a DISH CSR.

Do it all the time. You will still get all programing if you don't call them just no locals.

You can also change your service address by doing a live chat online at the Dish website. And they don't care how often you change it. We are full timers, and sometimes change our service location every day or two as we move from one spotbeam to another.

Just pick up the phone and call them to tell them what local channels you want. Dish has no problems with your changes. All they want is for you to be a customer.
