For years I have use Total Commander as my go to file manager. But there are a few things that TC does not do well. I am looking for a new file manager to try out. Any suggestions ???
Please give me enough troubles, uncertainty, problems, obstacles and STRESS so that I do not become arrogant, proud, and smug in my own abilities, and enough blessings and good times that I realize that someone else is in charge of my life.

Saladin - very straightforward dual pane file manager. Does only a few things, does them pretty well

XYplorer - Tabbed file manager with lots of features.

FarManager - A Norton Commander clone for those wanting a retro utility.

Also, here's a whole list of file managers. I'm not familiar with most of the ones they cover, though.

I'll check that one out, but Total Commander is my preference.

I use "Beyond Compare" to augment Windows File Manager.
