GPS volume control

We have an older Garmin, and we are considering getting a new GPS. We have liked the one we have, but we think that we would like one a little larger.
We use it mostly in out motor home.
We would like one where you can adjust the volume much like you can on a radio. The volume on the one we have is adjustable, but it's more smi-adjustable.

Anyone know of one that the volume is redly adjustably?

Thanks,
Dusty

Do you mean it doesn't get loud enough? Or hard to adjust? Or doesn't stay at the level you choose? Or the volume level menu is difficult to navigate to?

Be nice to know what model you have, rather than the vague "older Garmin".

It's a nuvi 205W
Also hard to adjust.

I just speak to my "older Garmin" like this to adjust volume:

"Voice command ... volume 10"

also at night, if the screen is causing too much glare

"Voice command ... brightness 0"

We just got a 2589LMT, push and release the speaker symbol and a volume control slider comes up. Ours is kept off, don't like the noise.

Our Garmin stays at the level you select until you change it. If your volume resets itself to the previous level, it may be faulty.

I'll have to go out and check what model.
To adjust the volume you have to go into an adjustment program, which makes it, what I would call semi-permanet.
What we would like is to be able to adjust the volume like you do on a radio.

I don't think that there are ANY with a volume control available on the navigation screen. A mute/un-mute button is common but actually adjusting the volume is one or two menu levels down. I highly doubt that any have a "fixed" volume.

I think Garmin has redly adjustable volume on the top.
