GSE needs a new Facilities Design Department

On this current trip I am on I have visited several Campingworlds. The one in Flagstaff AZ stands out for the good service and accommodating attitude of the store staff.

However there is absolutely NO parking for a customers RV, Trailer etc. Most are forced to park across the street on the dirt shoulder. I even found it hard to find a place to park just my pick up truck.

When I asked the salesman about this he said, and I quote " Oh God DONT go there." and then proceeded to tell me this: When first designed the store was to be a parts and accessories store only then at the last minute it was decided to put in RV sales. As he pointed to a section of the parking lot and to the RV for sale parked there he said that all those spaces were intended for customers. Now all taken with RV's for sale.

This apparently is not uncommon as I visited a store in Colorado with the same issues last Spring and got just glares from the staff when I mentioned it.

I am fully aware that RV sales possibly bring in more overall dollars than the store on an individual basis. But relegating your store customers to a second class status and not having parking is inexcusable. Someone needs to kick some #ss and get the parking spaces cleared out for store customers. It's obvious the Sales Department has got all the clout.

This was my second visit to this store where I spent $700 this spring for a generator and this time spent $460 for an assortment of stuff. I dont think I should have to schlep this stuff across the street to put it in my vehicle (even with staff help).

OP is very good at digging up subjects that are important only to him. He never finds a solution because he is the only one disturbed. Maybe CW could purchase the property adjacent to the existing property, pave it, and then raise the prices on all their products to pay for it. OP would then complain about the price of the products. :h

AHMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice criticism. Does his posting "disturb" you? Do you feel better now? It must for you to make snarky responses and pile on. Why not let him discuss what disturbs him without your negative and useless comments.

While others may not pile on, this is probably important to others who are just not as vocal or maybe as articulate.

I guess, because of this reply, you will now throw your darts at me.

Have a great day.

If I wanted to throw my darts at you, I would not hesitate. If you read the many previous posts the OP has made, most of them complaints about things that are meaningless. Why don't you let the OP handle his own complaints and you crawl back in your hole. By the way, have a "Great Day".

Thanks for writing in. I'll just throw this in the trash can and I am sure the garbage company will contact you with a magical solution to this problem!

I think many CW's suffer from this. They normally don't build new CW's. They buy out older mom and pop ones and basically expand...That's why there is hardly any room in any of them.

That is not the case in either of these locations. They were newly built by Camping world as the staff told me.

And, what precisely do you think "my team" could possibly do?

Why dont we wait and see and give them a chance before starting to criticize what hasnt happened yet? Any company deserves the chance to investigate and respond. Just as you would expect the same.

Are you trying to get the point across by quoting yourself twice? :B

No I edited it for spelling and grammar and accidentally hit the quote button instead of the edit.

But thank you for pointing it out.
