Jack antenna replacement

We regularly camp in a place that we can only get a few TV stations in. We're considering replacing our Winegard batwing with a Jack antenna. Please share your experiences with the Jack replacement, good or bad. I want to know if this is worthwhile. Thanks!

My new camper came with a Jensen that was about as useful as a plastic bowl. I mounted a fixed mount Jack antenna to replace it and was floored with the difference. I had a winegard sensar on my previous trailer and the fixed mount Jack pulled in more channels than even the old winegard. Immediately I ordered the replacement head for my dads class B that has a non-winegard batwing antenna. He also saw the same results. You definitely want to get the signal meter to put in-line so you can see where you get the best signals.

I recently put a Jack antenna on the roof of my house and am seriously disappointed with it. I can get 20+ channels on my camper with it sitting in the driveway using the Jack. With the Jack on my roof I can get 2-3 channels in my house. I haven't called King Controls yet to start diagnosing the issues but I will.

Buy the Jack, don't even hesitate. PPL motorhomes has the best price and they ship fast.

Installed my Jack antenna 2 weeks ago...Took longer to get the ladder and set it up then it did to install it. Increased the channels I am getting at home by 10 channels.

Have not gone to the one campground in question which is the reason I bought it yet. But I expect I will get a few channels out there instead of the current none I get out there. One of the other camper's in the stie next to me was getting 4 channels using his Jack I was getting nothing using my Wineguard that is why I upgraded.

Only time will tell will be out at the campground in ???? in 2 more weeks and we will se the results.

Since my RV is also my Dog house when the DW wants to get rid of me for some the ladies only events at the house, it is nice to get the increased channels at home in the RV so it was well worth it to me!!

All in HD Very impressive.I also have a built in amplefier (sp?)that was turned on It is much lighter and smaller than the Batwing and dosn't bang around on roof of my Tioga 26Q.
