For anyone interested this new Rayzar antenna was just reviewed and tested against an old Batwing antenna.

very true, but it only gets OTA free programming, not the good stuff.
I was just comparing the price for a rabbit ears vs sat. programming.

Cute. There were receivers around several years ago that drove an antenna and repointed it depending on the channel you went to. This is the same but you will be standing up all night if you're a channel surfer. A 2db difference in noise figure isn't going to hardly make a difference except make a pretty graph.

Actually been talked about a couple times already.
As I noted in one of the discussions, it's still right on the roof line and subject to shading by the roof A/C, etc.
There are two truisms on antennas. Height it Might and Size rules all. Higher and bigger is better then lower and smaller.

I installed the Rayzar to replace the jack and it works great. I then installed the Sensar Pro replacement power supply and thus far have been pleased.
