RV 760 LMT

Just replaced my old nuvi 660 with the RV760LMT. On the 660 I could set a code that stopped the menu from coming up when turned on. Does this 760 have that ability? Haven't been able to find anything in the online manual that suggest that feature. What stops someone from taking/turning the GPS on, select "home" and drive to our house. Technically challenged by electronics! Any help greatly appreciated. ๐Ÿ™‚

This is common practice to prevent what the OP is specifically worried about. I use the intersection to the entrance to our subdivision.

Hey, that' a thought. Break into a vehicle, steal the registration, sell it to a pawn shop. Must admit... I hadn't considered that. Thanks expanding my thinking.

OP here. Thanks for replies. Will follow advise. Seems like a step backward for Garmin. If this GPS is stolen, anyone can use it. Makes it more marketable for a thief. ๐Ÿ˜ž
This reminds me of CB radios back in the 70's. when they were really expensive to buy they were a high theft item. When the price dropped to next to nothing then the theft of them literally stopped. They weren't worth stealing. To days GPS models are getting close to being inexpensive so the theft of them will probably abate as well.

As said, set it to another location near your home. They can get close but not to your house.
